Windstorm and Sunday Night

Mads and JJ both wrestling on Kristin's new couch.

Mads and I sang and did the motions for Wheels On The Bus, and then JJ suggested we do Ring Around the Rosie. KC really enjoyed it and wanted to try it over and over and was grabbing everyone's hands to hold onto. It was very cute.

After supper we baked some clay Christmas ornaments and then painted them.

It was extremely windy this morning and all throughout the day, the wind was in full force. We inevitably lost some shingles. I saw a bunch in our neighbours yard and wondered if they were his or ours. Unfortunately all of them came from our roof. I will be on hold for a long time tomorrow with insurance. Many people in the city and the southern part of the province had wind damage.

Blocks and Letters and Towers

As you all know, Bobs is obsessed with letters and numbers. We made some for him to organize on the table.

Mads loves to stack and build towers. He is using play-doh jars here. He doesn't realize that he can use the stuff inside, which is just fine with me as this is a cleaner activity.

Mads can now say "mine" and he is telling Bobs all the time that every mega block belongs to him.

I built the base of this tower but Mads built the rest from the red blocks and up.

You can hear him grunt and complain when things don't work, but he perseveres.

Bobs built his own and called it his daycare.

Family Photos with Santa

I think the kids look scared because they were tired and it was the end of the party.

Mads also didn't want to sit on Santa's lap and was very concerned about it.

Kids Christmas Party

We tried family games night on friday but the kids played with the puzzle pieces and memory cards differently than how they were intended for.

Saturday for lunch, we went to the Company Kids Christmas Party. This will be Bobs' fourth time.

Bobs told Santa he wanted an aligator and Mads refused to sit on Santa's lap. We got a family photo that we will post later when it comes back.

Bobs got his face painted and jumped in the bouncy castles. Mads and I played some video games and ski ball.

While most kids wanted spider man or a butterfly on their face, Bobs asked for a big blue star.

It was -20 out so we were really glad to have an indoor, free, kids activity today. Bobs has been asking for Christmas lights to be put up. We aren't keen on putting up the outside lights yet, but we promised to put some up in the dining room.

Couch Time

Bobs has shown Mads how to play Zoo Train on the itouch.

They are learning to take turns.

Daddy has been sick this weekend. For some reason, Mads always has to sit right on top of him when he is on the couch. He also orders us off one particular couch as he wants it all to himself.

Tommy K Play

After hearing about Tommy K Play from Cael and his parents, we decided to finally try it out on a day where the time change has everyone's kids up seemingly early. It's a bit too cold outside for playgrounds.

It took Mads awhile to warm up to the place, but he enjoyed going up and down the slide with his dad.

Bobs had a great time running throughout the structure.

Hanging Around the House

Bobs loves letters. He can't get enough of them, so I had to make more. Good thing they are cheap.

His favourite letter is H, and E is his second favourite.

Nearly everyone has been sick again on different days this week. Hopefully we are well by the end of the weekend.

Mads enjoys destroying our couch.
