Inside the Oval

We have friends in high places. We got to ride bikes and in line skate in the oval and it was all to ourselves.

Soccer was cancelled due to snowfall, so what better day to play inside?

This picture cracks me up. It looks like some guys in a rap video. Too young to drive a real car, so they are driving the golf cart.

Not for real though. KK had to climb on and drive it for real.

Rollerblading with Izzy

Out For a Bike Ride

Mads is out for his first bike with pedals ride. He didn't want this bike at all.

He wanted to take his helmet off but I bribed him with a chocolate granola bar to get him over to the park.

He was very unhappy about it.

He was happy to walk home after playing. Hopefully when all the other kids are zipping past him on their bikes, he will get on his.

Happy 4th Birthday Mads!

Mads had an angry birds birthday with an egg hunt.

Some of the big kids hoarded pretty well.

Just a taste of need weekend's Easter egg hunts.

Mads specifically wanted a pinata at his party just like some the neighbourhood kids have.

Izzy was the one who broke the pinata. Good girl!

Being Palm Sunday, Elliott and his dad came straight from church in purple.

Mormor and Morfar came to celebrate too.

The weather was about 6 degrees.

Chocolate chocolate cupcakes.

Spring is here. Time to bike and in line skate.

Bobs loved the in line skating class that came to his school so he got an early birthday present from Mormor and Morfar to feed his interest. His motor skills ( or at least interest in using motor skills ) have been a bit waning and we want him to find activities that he enjoys.

There is still a lot of gravel on the paths. There is a camp at Westside this summer that does skating in the morning and swimming in the afternoon. We hope to get Bobs into that.

Bobs is finally also loving riding his bike. We did have to get a basket for it just like his friend Izzy has. They only have girly baskets though, so I had to buy a Monster High one, and take off the pink decal.

Birthday Parties

We were invited to four parties on saturday. Two kids birthday parties. The first was for Caleb who turned four. We went to a big play place and both boys were invited.

Bobs was invited to a rock party at Westside Rec Centre. The friend in his kindergarten class loves collecting rocks.

We went swimming and the boys had a big balloon fight.

In the evening, we visited some old friends who had an open house in their new place. There was also a dinner birthday party but we were too tired to go to that.

Next weekend is Mads' birthday party!
