Fathers Day and the last weeks of school
We had a fun time on fathers day at Prince's Island Park on a picnic.
We were entertained by a magician who let Bobs be his volunteer.
Mormor's sister is visiting from Denmark. We were lucky to have her over for dinner on friday.
The boys love to sleep in the same bed. We only let them on weekends.
It was Mads last soccer game of the year, and Bobs spent the hour at the skate park, and helping paint the sidewalk.
Then we drove to the cabin and met up with Mormor and her sister there.
We had wonderful weather. Here we are playing at the beach at 8:00pm.
This is the next day, where I was able to photograph some of the pelicans that flew above me.

Happy 9th Birthday Bobs!
Happy Birthday Bobs. We can't believe you are already 9. That's halfway to 18. Time flies.
Bobs did an impromptu skateboarding lesson with City of Calgary staff and it was free as part of their mobile skate park.
It was fun to watch him progress over the 50 minutes he was there.
Mads was at a soccer game in the meantime, and then we went to Killarney's neighbour day.
We had lunch with Mormor at Smitty's and Bobs got a special recorder that belonged to his Morfar when his Morfar was in high school. It has hardly been used.
Then the Gamers truck arrived and the party started.
A few of his school friends came as well as Seffy and Elliott.

Another Cabin Weekend in June
Mads class went to the Leighton Arts centre last month. It's a spectacular place.
This is Bobs running to catch up with the walking school bus. Around 8 kids walk to school together.
I was at a fundraiser for the Alberta NDP on June 1st and the Premier gave an amazing speech.
Sadly, on our way to the cabin on friday, before we even left the city, we got hit from behind by a car going 20 km/hr (we were pretty much stopped in stop and go traffic). We drove to Sarah and Kris' place and went up to the cabin in two of their cars instead.
The smartest thing we ever did at the restaurant on the way up, was put the kids all at the same table.
The weather was really soggy and the farmers market was indoors.
My old coworker Christopher joined us at the cabin.
The sun came out and it was totally unexpected.
After dinner, we set up the badminton net and everyone had a great time.
Once we got home, the kids found an ant hill and wanted to water them down.
