KK bought some tickets for A Day Out With Thomas at Heritage Park way back, knowing that her son JJ was wild about Thomas and Friends. It fell on the same as Casey's birthday which was perfect. Based on the nice weather we have had lately, and the forecast, we expected nice weather.
Unfortunately it was absolutely freezing with the coldest wind. Some people showed up in shorts. Ouch. We found some Thomas shirts at Wal Mart in Spokane so we bought them for this occasion. Good thing too because actual event shirt were three times as much!
We rode three times around the park with Thomas pulling us along. We planned a nice picnic for afterwards, but decided to head to our house instead.
The picnic was excellent around the fireplace!
The babies slept through lunch and we had to wait for them to wake up before we had cupcakes and presents. JJ couldn't wait so he sat grumpily at the table. Carrie showed up with a belated birthday gift for Mads. It was a cute outfit for Stampede time.
KC got a vintage looking Jack In The Box toy.
Now we are off to a BBQ on the other end of town. What a busy sunday!
