Sikome Lake - a Calgary Beach

This Labour Day long weekend, we did not go anywhere. We spent friday at a car dealership and bought a Honda CRV. We also posted our toyota corolla on Kijiji for sale. Many people have emailed and called. Two have stopped by to look and drive, and lots of people have said they are interested, but haven't made a move.

On saturday we went to North Glenmore Park for a walk and today we went to Sikome Lake in the city's southeast. There are a few lake communities out there, and one public lake if you don't know anyone who lives in a lake community.

I have been to Sikome once as a child, but they shut it down for a number of years to clean it up since it is "man made" and takes a lot to keep clean and maintain.

It's perfect for little ones. The sand is nice and it doesn't really get deep ever.

We haven't decided what we are doing tomorrow, but perhaps a short trip to the mountains is in order. Enjoy the last bit of summer!!!
