Soccer and 2 birthday parties!

Bobs got to start his first soccer team experience on saturday. He and his friend Jake from the neighbourhood are on "the green dinosaur princesses" team.

There were over 200 kids, not including parents, on the field on saturday morning. It took 10 minutes to find our team.

As expected, Mads was jealous of all the ball playing. We visited a nice dog, and let him play with balls on the sidelines.

Mads spent a lot of time behind the net. Next year he will be able to play on this team.

The last 30 mins was a scrimmage, and Bobs and Jake did very well, except when they reached down for the ball with their hands. No cheating!

Immediately after the game, we headed to Airdrie for a Aiden's 2nd birthday party.

It was Mickey Mouse themed and the weather was beautiful for a backyard party.

Mads and Bobs awaited a piece of cake politely.

And scarfed it down.

We went home for a nap, and then headed to Casey's 2nd birthday party. In 2010, I knew four kids who were born in mid May.

Kristin set up a fun backyard play area and decorated everywhere with pretty green and blue.

Kris and Sarah came as well after their day of ATVing.

She made amazing turkey burgers and a layered chocolate cake.

My kids had cake twice in one day! I had some of Aletta's Dutch apple pie and it was heavenly. Daddy had the chocolate cake because the pie had raisins in it.

Mads loves sandboxes. We have a water table that has a sand side to it that we should fill up. It was a nice saturday. Today we celebrate Mother's Day with my mom for brunch.
