Rideau Hall & The Ottawa River

Yesterday evening we were running away from an oncoming storm. Grandma and Grandpa live a block away from Rideau Hall and her gardens. Every afternoon, the kids have gone for little walks as the grounds are open until dusk.

There is a neat fountain where when you stand and look into the water, you can see everyone else's reflection except your own. This is the viewpoint of which you are supposed to govern.

There is a great mix of houses in the neighbourhood.

Grandma and Grandpa live on the left hand side of this house.

Today we had cooler weather so we spent the morning at the Ottawa river looking at inukshuks that a local artists has made each year since 1986.

Mads and Bobs tried making one of their own.

We went to Westboro beach down the river afterwards.

Mads brought his "weee - oohhh weee - ohhh"
