New Year's Day

It was cold, but sunny on the first day of the year. We went to the Signal Hill rink area for sledding.

The sun kept us warm and happy.

We have a decent mountain view from the playground. We live further below the school and the mountains aren't as visible from our street.

We have been planning and deciding which school Bobs will go to for kindergarten. Our original plan was the public french immersion, but we found out they will have 8 classes and are quite full ( even though we would get in). Behind Mads here is the local english school, but we are still keen on french immersion so we are registering also for the Catholic school French Immersion which is much smaller and probably better for Bobs.

We are also making some child care changes. Their last day at the big daycare will be at the end of February. They will be with a dayhome down the street starting then. To ease into the changes, they will start on monday this week and continue to be with her each monday. It's going to be a challenge when Bobs starts Kindergarten in terms of figuring out who will pick him up at the bus stop in the middle of the day. We will have to find a dayhome that can do this. We are on the list for a few after school programs as well.
