Bellingham and Birch Bay

We drove North this morning with a stop in Bellingham. It was windy and cold.

Then we got a bit nervous as we approached Birch Bay. Neither of us have been here before and we were worried that it wasn't going to be nice. Silly us. Of course our beach front resort is beautiful.

The tides in the Bay go waaaaaay out. Twice a day, the tide comes in. The sand is very soft and I am sure you will see many more photos of this bay over the next few days.

Bobs thought this shadow would make a very neat photo.

We saw a lot of seagulls dig up clams and drop them on the rocks to get them open and suck them out. They hacked up a bunch of crabs as well.
