Edmonds - Kingston Ferry

We made it to Seattle, and the weather has been exceptionally sunny and warm. The photos here are an early morning ferry trip to Kingston, a peninsula that faces towards Victoria. By afternoon, there isn't a single cloud in the sky.

The kids were crazy on the ferry and didn't really appreciate the trip until we got back on it for the return trip.

All I wanted out of the tour was to walk along a quiet costal town and to get a coffee and see the marina. I accidentally slammed my hand on the door at the coffee shop and got a really big bruise and cut.

The kids really liked starfish and crab watching.

We saw trains, cargo ships, seagulls, dogs...

We dugs up a few clams and mussels, and saw two sea cucumbers thanks to the low tide.

The kids absolutely loved beach combing. They also really like our hotel which is just north of Seattle. It has a heated outdoor pool where we have been playing everyday.
