Pics from Daddy's Phone
When we went to the Bishop Museum, the cafeteria was closed for renovation so we had to walk a few blocks to find a place for lunch. We came across a Chinese restaurant for cheap eats. Everyone, especially Mormor and Morfar, was happy except for Bobs. Mads even used chop sticks and had rice and spring rolls.
The boys were particularly interested in an exhibit on roller coasters. There was a screen with a fake roller coaster that moved a bit. The thought they were on the real thing and had to try the ride a dozen times.
We found a place to eat that satisfied everyone. Pancakes, fries, fish tacos and garlic shrimp. Don't worry, we got our fiber fill at Whole Foods for dinner.
Kailua was our favourite beach until we found the neighbouring beach at Waimanalo and it was just spectacular. I scraped my foot on a coral reef while snorkeling with Bob's gear ( a tight fit), but it was breathtaking. Daddy saw some big gold looking fish.
There was no official parking lot at this beach, so we found street parking in the neighbourhood. There is a house behind the beach here that has this view. Yeah... unbelievable.
Our Kailua condo is a few doors down from this house. It's nice to see people getting into the Christmas spirit in Hawaii, as it isn't super obvious that it is Christmas here.
