Outside
Spring is arriving slowly, so we were able to play outside today after daycare.
Mads and Bobs are lucky enough to live right on the park.
We ran across a lot of doggie poop and rabbit poop. I had to show them what it looks like and to avoid it.
We picked up sticks and Bobs put his over his head and told me he was a reindeer.

Joshua's Birthday
Bobs joined his friends Cael and Joshua again this weekend for another birthday party.
It was at Southland Leisure Centre in a party room with a big play structure. The theme was Buzz Lightyear.
Cael and Bobs wrestled each other most of the time there.
Joshua takes being Buzz Lightyear very seriously. He has had this obsession for over a year now. It's not just a short phase.
His uncle made the cake!!
Bobs wasn't in a great mood in the second half of the party.

Hummus Off
Daddy's Volleyball team had a hummus making contest party tonight. I brought my delicious hummus. Mads was the unofficial judge.
He loved mine the most, I am not kidding.
There were six hummuses entered. Guess what? I lost. I tied for last place with the host of the party. And I am sorry, but his hummus had huge chick pea chunks in it. Mine was good!!! I have no idea what happened. Obviously Daddy didn't rank mine very high. Sheesh.
Tanya won, and she was gearing up for winning, so I am glad she did.
The host was devastated.
Tanya got a certificate to put on her office wall at work.
The hosts hired their babysitter to watch the kids in the basement. I have never seen Bobs have such a great time in all his life.
Mads had a great time too, and lately, he likes to run into Bobs and plow him down and do some wrestling moves on him like this.
They did not want to leave. They played ring around the rosie and dance dance music games.
Now they are totally konked out in their bedrooms. Daddy barely made it through and we had to leave a bit early as he gets wiped out easily.

Vecova
We woke up and had waffles together and I took the kids to Vecova while Daddy rested.
Bobs woke up at 5:30am and Daddy was basically awake so he let me sleep in while Bobs ran around the basement.
We met up with KC and JJ and their friend/babysitter Aletta at Vecova. It's an open gym for little ones.
As the weather is getting nicer, it wasn't as busy as usual.
We went for a walk as a family later in the afternoon after Mads' nap time.
Bobs can't wait until he is tall enough to play basketball. Don't worry, we definitely plan on getting the boys a net for our long driveway when they are older.

Basement Play with Daddy
Daddy is slowly feeling better so Mads and Bobs can play with him in the basement again. Bobs piles up every pillow in sight and buries his dad.
They smother him with kisses and head butts.
Mads loves playing with his school bus and the tunnels.
He still won't let me take photos of him. He is talking a bit more and can say things like "Dis my Choochoo" and "No more dat Mommy!" Lately, he is eating hummus, brown beans, grilled cheese sandwiches and lots of fruit. He can say the colour purple as he knows it's his brother's favourite.

Cael's Birthday at Tommy K
It was Cael's birthday party at Tommy K Play. I hardly got any photos because the bigger boys were having so much fun running around. Plus I didn't have Daddy there to help me, so I was up in the play structures following Mads around and making sure he wasn't getting pummelled by bigger kids.
Cael's mom cleverly snuck in sandwiches and cupcakes. The rule is that you cannot bring your own food. When we got in trouble, Cael's mom explained that their signs only indicate it is a peanut free place, and not a nut free place, so she didn't trust their food. It seemed to work for awhile. Both Joshua and Cael cannot have nuts.
Mads still won't let me take photos of him. Next weekend it is Joshua's birthday.

Mads and Grandma
Mads calls Grandma and Grandpa both "Mormor". Just like he does to Mormor and Morfar.
Today was their last day here until they return over a week from now for their much more fun visit.
Mads liked to try on Grandma's slippers. Bobs used to do the same thing when he was the same age.
