May Long
Mads was not feeling well this morning, so Daddy and Bobs went to soccer without us.
By afternoon, Mads was feeling better and we went to the Constructed Wetlands across Glenmore from our community to check out the birds. Then we went out for supper ( which was a disaster of course ), and played in the backyard.

Happy Mother's Day
We had Mormor over for Mother's Day brunch. We got up and prepared the back deck, and waffles, sausages, berries and watermelon.
Mads got syrup, berries and water all over himself a few times, so had a few outfit changes.
Today is one of the warmest days of the year so far so we were happy to be outside for brunch.
After brunch we went for a walk and played at the park.
Morfar is still in Germany but will be coming back next week in time for Father's day next month.
Soccer and 2 birthday parties!
Bobs got to start his first soccer team experience on saturday. He and his friend Jake from the neighbourhood are on "the green dinosaur princesses" team.
There were over 200 kids, not including parents, on the field on saturday morning. It took 10 minutes to find our team.
As expected, Mads was jealous of all the ball playing. We visited a nice dog, and let him play with balls on the sidelines.
Mads spent a lot of time behind the net. Next year he will be able to play on this team.
The last 30 mins was a scrimmage, and Bobs and Jake did very well, except when they reached down for the ball with their hands. No cheating!
Immediately after the game, we headed to Airdrie for a Aiden's 2nd birthday party.
It was Mickey Mouse themed and the weather was beautiful for a backyard party.
Mads and Bobs awaited a piece of cake politely.
And scarfed it down.
We went home for a nap, and then headed to Casey's 2nd birthday party. In 2010, I knew four kids who were born in mid May.
Kristin set up a fun backyard play area and decorated everywhere with pretty green and blue.
Kris and Sarah came as well after their day of ATVing.
She made amazing turkey burgers and a layered chocolate cake.
My kids had cake twice in one day! I had some of Aletta's Dutch apple pie and it was heavenly. Daddy had the chocolate cake because the pie had raisins in it.
Mads loves sandboxes. We have a water table that has a sand side to it that we should fill up. It was a nice saturday. Today we celebrate Mother's Day with my mom for brunch.

Daycare Stories
Bobs went on his first Preschool field trip today. They went to a petting zoo farm called Butterfield Acres. He is in the blue jacket and ballcap.
They took a yellow school bus there. I am sure Mads was very jealous.
When I picked up Mads yesterday, he said " Byebye Baby!" to a little boy in his class. I said, "he's not a baby! He is just like you!" The daycare teacher informed me that all the kids call this little boy Baby, because that is how the pronounce Dave ( maybe Davey?). So this poor little boy is called Baby at daycare by all the other 2 year old. Awww. I hope it doesn't follow him into grade school!

Mads & Bobs Visit the Dentist
Earlier this week, Mads and Bobs got a soccer ball joint birthday present from their great grandpa Lloyd. They couldn't share it very well. Bobs starts his first soccer team experience tomorrow.
Mommy had the day off today, so we went to Vecova for some gym time with Elliott and Benjamin.
Mads doesn't like that Elliott follows him around. Elliott thinks Mads is a big boy!
Mads was first in the dentist chair. Dr. Yiu has kids the same age and even made them balloon animals. ($200 balloon animals that is! haha)
They had cartoons on TV to watch while they had their teeth checked.
Bobs was told he has great spacing but an overbite.
Bobs did really well for his cleaning. He enjoyed the bubble gum flavour. He really did a great job and I was really proud of both boys.
