Battalion Park Winter Fun

Climbing Class

Bobs started a saturday morning climbing class and is really enjoying it.

Mads is doing a tumbling class on tuesdays that he is also enjoying.

Bobs did pretty well for his first class. Some kids were able to climb to the top already.

To make it interesting, the instructors hide pennies onto of some of the grips and they have to find them.

Hitmen Game

At a fundraiser at Bobs' school, we got some Hitmen WHL tickets. We had them in the club section, but had extra coupons for more kids to come along. We had to sit higher up though which was just as well. The kids could move around more up high.

We took the c-train from the Marsden's house as they live near the newest station.

After the 1st period, we moved down to the club seats and snuck the kids in.

Then some of the kids got a bit sleepy so we decided to leave before the crowds.

Good times had by all.

Saturday Skate

It was cold and miserable outside, so we skated inside and swam afterward.

The kids are often apprehensive to skate ahead of time, but once we get there, they have a blast.

From Daddy's Phone

I'm still thinking about Hawaii. I transferred all the photos from Daddy's phone tonight and found these.

I'm sure I have posted this before. It always gets a good laugh at security and Customs.

The airport had a nice garden area that travellers could enter after security. I enjoyed it on my own one last time. It did smell of food court cooking oil though.

Mads was very confused by this instruction pamphlet. He saw it as "remove your head and hold a turkey" in the event of an emergency.

This is from when we drove to the cabin and arrived around 5:00pm at sunset. Cameras never do sunsets justice.

On New Year's Day, I made everyone waffles.

Happy New Years!

After being in Calgary for 12 hours, we left again for the cabin to celebrate NYE and JJ's birthday.

Bobs and JJ put on a very funny magic show.

We had amazing weather at around 2 degrees outside, and not nearly as much snow as last year.

There were lots of fights between the 6 boys.

JJ opened some gifts.

The kids had Mac N Cheese and then the grownups had a turkey dinner.

Then we waited patiently for the cupcakes.

And the first of the fireworks that night began.

Elliott and Seffy's mom said she would bring the noise makers. We didn't know whether she meant her kids or the instruments.

Then we had some marshmallows and saw the first of the neighbourhood fireworks.

They went on and on and on. Overall, a great time away and welcome back to Alberta.
