Saturday Night

On saturday night, the whole family was invited to a birthday party. We decided to try and look our best, and then took some family photos of ourselves which was quite a task.

It was nice to see everyone as usual. Lately we have all only been getting together once a month.

Bobs found different ways to entertain himself, including collecting all of James' shot glasses and pretending to drink out of them. He did want to leave early and went to the door and said "all done, shoes!!"

On sunday morning we let Mads try the Jolly Jumper. He did pretty well but is still unsure of how fun it can be.

A Blog Update

Sorry it has been a few days since I last updated. It has been busy and our camera ran out of batteries. We were at the spray park on thursday when it was 31 degrees out. Erik ran from the spray park to the regular park, back and forth.

Erik also got his hair cut.... a buzz cut this time. It took all of 4 minutes to chop. He was screaming his head off while it was happening, but now he is proud of his look and loves to check himself out in the mirror.

Another August Weekend

Just a few pics from this weekend. We didn't get up to much, but we did head back to Eau Claire for a festival called the Bow River Flow, where Memorial Drive is shut down for bicycles and strollers. The event was cold and not well attended unfortunately. Calgary has had pretty bad weather this summer.

Bobs is famous

Bobs is famous! While we were at the wading pools at Eau Claire yesterday evening, a photographer from the Calgary Herald asked for permission to photograph Bobs'. We didn't find his photo in the actual newspaper, but we did see it online. Here is the link:

All of these photos were taken by the photographer from the Calgary Herald, and not myself.

Dinosaurs

At the library yesterday, I got Bobs this book and a few others. I thought it would be fun for Daddy to read to Bobs about Dinosaurs. He has enjoyed many other books similar to this one, but about trucks or trains.

Daddy sits down with Bobs and I sit next to them with Mads. Daddy reads "this is a Tyranosaurus Rex... hmm... and the rest your Mommy is going to have to read"

I thought Daddy had just given up too easily, but I looked over and I laughed. How on earth is anyone supposed to read these dino books to their kids when they can't even pronounce the names themselves?

Inside with a Guitar

The weather has been colder out so we have been watching/listening to the Wiggles and imitating them with the guitar. Bobs also uses hockey sticks and my slotted spoon as a guitar.

A Mid August Weekend

We asked Bobs if he wanted to hold Mads. He was thrilled to try it.

On saturday evening, Mormor and Morfar came over and we had sushi and tempura. Bobs had fishsticks.

The weather hasn't been the best this past week, but finally on saturday afternoon, it started to warm up. I love when it is around 20 degrees.

On sunday morning, we met up with Jansen and Casey, and their mother at Eau Claire Market and Prince's Island Park. We ran into Nikki there which was unusual, because we had just been together with her on friday.

Here is the latest photo of Casey, who is a month younger than Mads.

The weather was nice enough for the boys to splash around in the wading pools.

Kristin took the above photo. She has a knack for it. I love it.

There are only a few more weeks left of summer, so we must all take full advantage!
