A Beautiful Day for a Walk

Dex and his parents came over yesterday for dinner and a play.

Mads went for a bike ride and a scary tumble down the hill as he was going too fast.

The next day we went for a walk around the Glenmore Reservoir.

I used to really enjoy long walks, but as the kids are older, it's hard to get them motivated and we can't just put them in the stroller. They did pretty well this time though. We had a lot of interesting things to talk about.

Here, you can see the damage done by the floods to a golf course that is still closed. Look at the green. I believe the majority of this golf course was under water as the Elbow river rose.

We finished off with lunch at a Montreal smoked meat place in trendy Marda Loop. It was a place where Mads could get a hot dog, Bobs a cream cheese bagel, and Daddy a sandwich.
