Old Town of Bandon and Face Rock

We are in Bandon, Oregon on the second last leg of our trip. It is a small seaside town 90 miles north of the California border.

We had a blast at Washed Ashore museum where savings the oceans and making art come together. This organization picks up garbage from the sea twice a year with volunteers, and then washes and sorts the mostly plastic into colours and sizes. Then they make amazing sculptures and other forms of art. It was a started by a Portland woman in 2010.

Then we had lunch .. and some of it came in plastic containers!! Geez.
