Portland
At Jamison Park in the Pearl District.
Portland was around 35 degrees every day. We didn't experience any rain on our trip but the coast was a lot cooler.
Not sure what the Portland transportation lrt is called but it was quite efficient.
We went to the Saturday market downtown.
Many parks have kid friendly fountains.
We saw a big crowd at Voodoo Doughnut but didn't wait to buy any.
The kids got involved with a busker's performance at Skidmore station.
We went to Washington Park where there is a Zoo, a rose garden, a Children's museum and many hiking trails.
It was incredibly hot out, so we didn't get to walk around the rose garden. The kids were just too hot.
On our last day, we did come across a short line at Blue Star Doughnuts, so we tried some.
Smoking weed is legal in Oregon (and a few other states), so often we would see people smoking at the parks. Many parks have signs though that ban smoking of any kind.
Powell's books is the largest new and used bookstore and has been in Portland for a very long time. The population of Portland is around 2.5 million when you include the metro area and Vancouver, Washington just to the north of the city.
Bye bye Portland. We boarded the plan and made it home safe to our hail damaged car. Boo.
